Xiaomi has made a strong re-entry into the high-end Android smartphone segment Experiment Of Mi 11 Ultra. Less than three months after the device was launched, we already have some information about its successor, which is rumored to be called the Xiaomi Mi12. Some details about the display, processor, and camera have been leaked online on the Mi12, thanks to the Chinese tipster (via MySmartPrice). These Mi12 specifications give a good idea of what to expect from the device. Let’s see.
Xiaomi Mi12 features Snapdragon 895 SoC and 200MP Samsung-Olympus camera
The upcoming flagship smartphone from Xiaomi will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8450 SoC. Although the digital chat station does not mention the name of the smartphone, we feel that the tipster is giving hints towards the Mi12. According to the leak, the Xiaomi Mi12 will be one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 895 SoC.
When it comes to imaging, news from China suggests that the Mi12 will have a 200MP camera sensor on the back. According to the leak, the camera sensor is said to be the same 200MP Olympus unit that Samsung will use in the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra. The 200MP Olympus camera sensor has 16-in-1 pixel binning, which means it can produce 12.5MP images with pixel-binning technology. However, we are of the opinion that it can also capture 200MP images.
Coming to the display is a digital chat station, the Mi12 has a display that is sloping from left and right and has a single punch hole on the screen for the front camera. We hope to equip the Xiaomi device with a display that has a center-mounted punch-hole. Unfortunately, these are the only features a digital chat station has ever revealed. Hope to know more about Mi12 in the coming months.
