Xiaomi Finally today released its first foldable smartphone. This is called My Mix Fold. Like the trend with foldable smartphones these days, the Mi Mix fold has two displays, one on the outside and one on the inside. You can use the Mi Mix fold as a tablet when folded and unzipped as a smartphone. However, the Mi Mix fold is much larger than its folding nature. Xiaomi Me Mix Fold Price The 12GB + 256GB configuration starts at CNY 9,999 (approximately Rs. 1,11,742) in China. The 12GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 10,999 (approximately Rs. 1,22,917) and the 16GB + 512GB variant resets you by CNY 12,999 (approximately Rs. 1,45,265).
The offer includes two material options; One has a ceramic design with Corning Gorilla Glassback and the other is a Ceramic Special Edition that comes with a black ceramic back panel. It is currently unclear whether there will be a price difference between the two models.
Mi Mix Fold pre-orders in China start today and the foldable will go on sale from April 16th. The brand has not announced the price and availability details of Mi Mix Fold for markets outside China.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Folding Features
Foldable display
Let’s start with the most exciting feature of Mi Mix Fold which is a folding display. The interior of the smartphone features an 8.01-inch OLED display with QHD + resolution and 4: 3 aspect ratio. According to Xiaomi, this is the largest display on a foldable smartphone. The display features HDR10 +, Dolby Vision, 600 nits maximum continuous brightness and 900 nits peak brightness. Unfortunately, it does support the standard 60Hz refresh rate.
However, you can get a tablet-like experience on this screen. This presentation should be excellent for watching videos, browsing the web and being productive. Xiaomi also offers desktop mode with rechargeable windows. This mode can be activated with a three-finger swipe.
Outside, you get a 6.52-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,520 x 840 pixels. As you can see, the exterior has a wide aspect ratio of 27: 9. Fortunately, this display supports up to 90Hz refresh rate. You also get a 180Hz touch-sampling rate, 650 nits brightness, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision.
According to Xiaomi, the Mi Mix uses U-shaped keys, which are 27 percent lighter than seams used by other foldable smartphones. The phone was put through 200,000 bends during its reliability test and then that number was pushed to 1 million folds. That is very impressive in our opinion.
The world’s first liquid lens camera system

The liquid lens camera helps to adjust its optical magnification from 3x to 30x. This technique allows the camera to achieve a minimum focus distance of just 3 cm, which allows it to capture distant objects or take macros.
As for the basic camera, it is a 108 MP unit. You also get a 13MP ultraviolet camera and an 8MP macro camera. The Mi Mixfold brand is equipped with its own ISP (image signal processor), the Serge C1. According to Xiaomi, it runs 3A algorithms, Auto focus, auto exposure and auto white balance.
Flagship-Grade Powerhouse
Powering Me Mix Fold Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. This smartphone runs on Android 11 OS. As mentioned earlier, the offer has three configurations – 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB. RAM is an LPDDR5 unit and uses storage UFS 3.1 technology.
The phone is backed up by a 5020 mAh battery split between two 2,460 mAh cells. There is a 67W charging onboard that can charge the device from zero to 100 percent in just 37 minutes.
The phone also has a very efficient heat dissipation system; Large steam room, multiple layers of thermal gel and graphite sheets. The cooling system takes care of not only the heat coming from the chipset but also from the battery and antennas.
The quad-speaker setup is tuned by the hormone cordon
The Mi Mix Fold has a quad-speaker setup that has only been found on tablets so far. The speakers will be tuned by Harmon Kardon, Xiaomi said. According to the brand, there are four 1216 superlinear speakers that are 40 percent louder than the speakers Mi 10 Pro. Connectivity features include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth V5.5, GPS and USB Type-C port.
