Adam Badowski, Head of CD Projekt RED Studio, said, “The Witcher was a start for us at CD PROJEKT RED. It was the first game we did, and it was a big moment for us. Going back to this place and remaking the game for the next generation of gamers makes it feel bigger, if not bigger. Badowski added, “It’s exciting to collaborate with Fool’s Theory on the project, as some of the people there have previously worked on The Witcher games. They know the source material well, they know how much gamers are waiting for a remake to happen, and they know how to make incredible and ambitious games. And while it will be a while before we’re ready to share more about and about the game, I know the wait will be worth it.
Reported by VGC, Fool’s Theory CEO Jakub Rokosz said, “I’m very happy to have crossed my professional paths again with fellow developers since working together on The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3. Especially when it’s a remake of a project so close to our hearts.” Fool’s Theory was founded by AAA game development veterans in 2015. The Polish studio has worked on Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Outriders, Baldur’s Gate III and other games.
