Taylor Swift’s tenth studio album, ‘Midnights’, crashed Spotify after launching on the popular music streaming service today. Spotify users around the world were unable to use the app as it stopped responding or displayed errors temporarily. 9,000 users in India have also come forward with complaints about this. Taylor Swift’s fans, who broadly call themselves “Swifties,” voiced their thoughts via tweets. Interestingly, Spotify is posting a countdown 15 days before the album’s release.
Spotify crashed for many users after Taylor Swift’s latest album dropped
Popular Swedish music streaming platform Spotify reportedly crashed shortly after Taylor Swift’s latest album ‘Midnights’ dropped. Spotify posting a countdown for the album launch has been found to be working erratically for many users around the world.
Users on Spotify complained that their accounts were automatically logged out repeatedly on both the Android and iOS versions of the application. The music streaming service is also said to be behaving erratically for users who said the app displays a “no internet connection” message even when the device is connected to a working internet connection.
The artist or application still detected the interruption, which seemed to be of short duration. Strangely, none of the other music streaming services like Apple Music seem to have the problem.
‘Midnights’ is the tenth studio album by popular multi-genre artist Taylor Swift. The album contains 14 songs and is being touted as the artist’s return to the pop genre. Taylor Swift last released an album titled Evermore in 2020.
