Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 cleared its Bluetooth certification yesterday Bluetooth SIG And has now popped up on the Geekbench. Evidence suggests that the midrange tablet is now well under development and is about to be released in the near future.
On the hardware front, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 runs on a Unisoc T618 octa-core chipset with a 2.0GHz base clock. The processing unit is paired with 3GB of RAM and with it posted 1704 single-core and 5256 multi-core scores on the Geekbench. We have already reported that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is likely to be sporting 10.5-inch TFT WUXGA (1920 × 1200), 8MP main rear camera and 5MP front camera. The tablet is packed at 7,040mAh, which supports fast charging. It can also be planked on a quad-speaker setup with Samsung Dolby Atmos support. Although the leaks so far only indicate the presence of a Wi-Fi variant, it has a high chance of coming through the LTE variant.
When it comes to design, Samsung has adopted a clean slab-like design that is 8.7mm thick (including the camera bump). The design includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Type C port and a fingerprint sensor on the right side rails. Three color options – Gold, Silver and Gray are expected to be available.
