Samsung Electronics signs 5G mobile communications equipment supply agreement with NTT DoCoMo in Japan

Samsung Electronics has announced the signing of a 5G mobile communications equipment supply agreement with Japanese mobile communications company NTT DoCoMo.
This is the first time that Samsung Electronics has supplied mobile communication devices directly to NTT DoCoMo.
Samsung Electronics supplies NTT DoCoMo with the base station (RU, radio unit) needed to build the 5G commercial network and contributes to the faster 5G network.
“NTT DoCoMo aims to provide customers with more innovative and exciting experiences and services that address social issues,” said Sadayuki Abeta, manager of NRT DoCoMo’s wireless access network development division.
