Redmi Note 12 series launch date revealed, India launch imminent: specifications

The teaser posters further reveal that the Redmi Note 12 Pro will come with a Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS. Xiaomi seems to be prioritizing cameras in the upcoming lineup. We can see the back panel of the Redmi Note 12 Pro in blue and pink colors, the latter with a lightning-like design.

According to the BIS certification, the vanilla Redmi Note 12 has a model number of 22101316I, which was spotted by popular tipster Mukul Sharma. However, he said the phone is listed under the ‘Xiaomi’ branding in India, unlike in China where it is under the Redmi wing. We can probably expect the new series to be launched in the country early next year and as usual should have multiple models, maybe even some rebranding.

The teaser images posted on Redmi’s social media handles show the phone’s rear design. We see a rectangular module to house triple camera lenses and an LED flash. The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge. A fingerprint sensor may be embedded in the power button. The back has a high transparency DECO and AG frosted glass finish. The 200MP sensor is aided by a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, 0.56μm size and Super QPD autofocus solution.

That’s pretty much all that’s been revealed about the phones at the moment, but with the launch just two days away, we won’t have to wait much longer.
