In addition to the 5G modem integration that is the main feature of the 765G, the attractive features of the 780G are the Spectra 570 triple ISP (image signal processor) and the hexagon 770 processor that specializes in AI tasks.
The advantage of the Triple ISP is that it can process multiple camera sensor inputs at the same time. For example, it can digest this 25-megapixel still image input from three cameras, a wide angle camera and a zoom camera. Additionally, low-light image quality, HDR10 + compatibility and 4K HDR video recording are possible.
The 64-bit Cryo 670 octa-core CPU running at 2.4GHz is responsible for the core calculation. The structure consists of two high-performance Cortex A78 cores and six Cortex A55 cores running at 1.8 GHz. Qualcomm claims that it works 40% more than the previous generation. In addition, the company claims that the 6th generation AI engine that uses the Hexagon 770 also performs twice as well as the previous generation.
