According to MySmartPrice, the official launch date of POCO X5 in India is not known, but most likely, the smartphone will be launched in the country later this year. The brand’s India head Himanshu Tandon recently hinted on microblogging platform Twitter that they “have a good plan”.

With model number 22101320I, the Indian variant of the upcoming POCO X5 5G smartphone has been spotted on the BIS website and IMEI database. In China, the smartphone may launch as a Redmi device with model number 22101320C.

Meanwhile, tipster Sharma shared a tweet suggesting similar information.

According to the FCC listing, the upcoming POCO X5 5G will feature a rectangular camera module design. It is likely to have a 4,900mAh battery, but the company may promote it as a 5000mAh battery. The smartphone comes with dual-band Wi-Fi support and the n5, n7, n38, n41, n77 and n78 support 5G bands. The POCO X5 5G runs MIUI 14 out of the box, which suggests the phone might launch with Android 13 out of the box.

Meanwhile, other previous leaks about the smartphone suggest that the POCO X5 5G will feature an IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate support and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.
