Redmi K40 Series Launched yesterday in China That means February 25th and it looks like this phone is ready to launch worldwide as a POCO phone. Earlier this week, the Redmi K40 Global variant with model number M2012K11AG Marked at IMDA certification Under POCO branding. The same model has now received Indonesian telecom certification with the Poco brand Spotted By Tipster Mukul Sharma. Although the list does not reveal the phone name, it is referred to as POCO F2 or POCO F3.

The IMDA listing revealed earlier this week that the Poco phone will come with 5G support, similar to the Redmi K40. Poco has not yet launched a 5G smartphone in India, but we will see a change in the coming months. Indonesian telecom certification indicates that the Asian launch is imminent and we may also see the phone coming to India in the future.
Redmi K40 features
To recall, the Redmi K40 features a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED FHD + display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 360 Hz touch response, small 2.76mm punch-hole cutout and 3.5mm slim bottom bezel. It is powered by a microSD card with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage along with the Snapdragon 870 SoC. The phone runs Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin out of the box. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and USB Type-C for charging and data transfer.
Moving on to the cameras, the Redmi K40 features a rear triple camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP wide angle lens and 5MP macro lens. There is a 20MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats. It has a 4,520 mAh battery with in-display fingerprint sensor and 33W fast charging support for security. The Redmi K40 comes with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, high-res audio and an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Redmi K40 in China starts at RMB 1,999 (approximately Rs. 22,400) and we can get similar prices from the upcoming POCO F2 or POCO F3 smartphone.
