Huawei has released a new smartphone that fits its Mate 40 lineup. The new phone is called Mate 40E5G and offers 5G connectivity, curved display and fast wired and wireless charging. It is the fifth smartphone in the Mate 40 series Companion 40, Companion 40 Pro, Designed by Mate 40 Pro +, and Mate 40 RS Porsche. Mate 40 Series Enabled Price and specifications of the Huawei Mate 40E5G in China have been revealed, but the company did not provide any details on the international launch and availability.

The Mate 40E starts at CNY 4,599 (approximately Rs. 51,500) for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For those who want a variant with 256GB of storage, the phone is priced at CNY 5,099 (approximately Rs. 57,100). The phone will be available in three color options and will go on sale in China from March 18.
Huawei Mate 40 E5G Specifications
According to the specifications, the Mate 40 looks like a slim-down variant of the E5G Pro. It features the Kirin 990e chipset, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone features a 6.5-inch FHD + curved OLED panel that offers a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. There is a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner of the screen, which features a 13-inch selfie camera. It also gets a display fingerprint scanner.
On the back of the phone is a circular camera module with an initial 64-megapixel sensor, 8-megapixel telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide unit. The smartphone also allows you to take macro shots using an ultra-wide sensor. The camera module also includes a laser focus sensor and LEICA branding. The Mate 40E runs Android 10 based EMUI 11 out of the box and has a 4,200mAh battery that supports 40W wired and wireless fast charging. It also comes with Wi-Fi 6, IP53 rating, NFC, headphone jack, air gestures and 5G support.
