Farmville, one of the most popular games on Facebook, will close on January 2 by publisher Zinga. The development was shared on Twitter by Zinga chairman and co-founder Mark Pinkus. Farmville has been playing on Facebook for 11 years and, according to Pinnacles, played an important role in the evolution of gaming.
