[Exclusive] Jio Phone 5G specifications revealed via leaked firmware

Notably, the Jio Phone 5G specifications identified in the firmware are consistent with one A previous Android Central report, which tells us that the phone is confirmed to come with a Snapdragon 480 SoC, a 13MP camera and more. Additionally, the boot animation image reveals that the marketing name of this upcoming phone will be Jio Phone True 5G. Further, the phone is codenamed ‘Ganga’, has model number LS1654QB5 and may be launched in partnership with LYF.

The photos above show that the Jio Phone 5G will sport a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel that supports 90Hz refresh rate. A Snapdragon 480 SoC powers the 5G device and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging keeps the lights on. Syntiant NDP115 always-on AI processor onboard. The Jio Phone 5G ships with Samsung’s 4GB LPPDDR4X RAM and 32GB storage.

Photography on the Jio Phone 5G is taken care of by an 8MP front-facing camera and a dual rear camera setup: 13MP primary and 2MP macro. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.1. Finally, the device runs on Android 12 out-of-the-box preloaded with a suite of Google mobile services and Jio apps. Android Central reported that the phone will come with a custom version of Android 11, but instead it will come with the new Android 12, which is not based on Android Go.
