Asus Zenfone 6, aka Asus 6Z, gets Android 11 update in Taiwan


Asus Zenfone 6 or Asus 6Z, as it is known in India, has started adopting Android 11 in Taiwan. Launched in May last year, the phone arrived in India a month later as an Asus 6Z. Now, the Taiwanese variant of the phone with model number ZS630KL has started receiving the updated version 18.0610.2011.107, which brings Android 11 and all its new features to the phone. Launched on Android 9, the phone was updated to Android 10 in November last year.

This update is currently only released in Taiwan and it is not clear when it will reach the Indian variant of the phone. Asus It also states that it is a staged roll out and that people who have not yet received the update will have to wait. The company did not provide an exact timetable.

The Android 11 update brings system optimizations along with the new ZenUI interface design. According to the changelog shared on the forum, the upgrade integrates the performance of power professionals into the battery setting, removes the Avast Scan engine, customizable quick setting panel, removes private listing and even removes smart classification, calibration icons and icon packages.

Asus believes that some third-party apps are not yet compatible with Android 11. Users who want to upgrade must first back up their data. If a user wants to downgrade from Android 11 to Android 10, they can use the official software package at their own expense.

The Asus 6Z could be updated to Android 11 in India early next year, although the company has not shared a timeline. Remember, at Experiment, Asus has promised two Android OS updates for the Asus 6Z and that Updated To Android 10 in November last year.
