Apple Airpods have been a huge success, creating the newest multi-billion dollar industry. Currently in their 2nd generation, the Non-Pro Air Pods launched in 2019 and will be upgraded. The company is expected to announce the 3rd generation AirPods in the coming months and now we have some latest information on them. According to a new report by 52 Audio, The upcoming AirPods 3 may feature the active noise cancellation technology found in the AirPods Pro. Previous leaks and rumors have suggested that the new wireless earbuds will get a new design similar to the AirPods Pro. It replaces a short stem and ear tips.
Apple AirPods 3 Features
The latest report suggests that the upcoming 3rd generation Apple AirPods will feature a feature currently only available in the more expensive Pro version. Apple AirPods 3 may have a basic ANC feature or a new feature may be introduced in the Pro variant to distinguish between the two earbuds. The new AirPods will also use a design similar to the Pro version, with a smaller stem and a re-installed sensor / pressure port. It features a semi-in-ear design with removable ear tips. The stem of the new AirPods 3 retains pressure touch inputs, but is longer than the AirPods Pro. The new design will be a mash-up of AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro.
The charging case of the AirPods 3 is also similar to the Pro variant, but smaller in size. It gets a charging indicator on the front and supports wireless charging. The report states that the sound quality of the new airpods will not improve much. However, due to the semi-in-ear design, users will be able to enjoy Active Noise Cancellation technology.
